Roles and Responsibilities
- Able to designs Electrical and electromechanical products and systems by developing specifications, design engineering and methods for ELV Systems.
- ELV systems including (CCTV, ACS, LC, BMS, FA, PAVA, HA, GRMS, ICT, EMS Audio & Video Systems)
- Design and engineer ELV Systems base on Specification, Project Drawings and Employer Requirements
- Can generate System connectivity and I/O Schedule, Equipment Schedule, Controllers, Panels, Field Devices selection, schematic control diagram and system architecture.
- Represent the Firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members concerning ELV systems (BMS/CCTV/ACS/LC/FA/PAVA/BGM/HA/GRMS/AV).
- Performed inspections and witnessing of testing & commissioning of ELV systems as per the existing standard and safety code to make sure it is safe for people to use.
- A multi skilled engineer to oversee and manage T&C of the ELV systems and awareness of ELV Software.
- possess the technical expertise needed to handle all of the various problems, issues and emergencies that may arise in relation to ELV systems.
- Conduct meetings with the contractors and supervising consultants regarding the work progress and resolving any concerns/problems at the site.
- Ensure SSC’s effective implementation of the T&C Plan by overseeing the Site Supervision Consultant (SSC) witnessing and inspection of T&C activities and ensure that all required documentations are in place.
- Witness the T&C on-site test to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the reports.
- Keeps well informed on current technology applicable to area of expertise.
- Able to review/comment on instrument engineering control systems like P&IDs, Network Architecture, Instrument Specifications, Loops and Schematics, Control Panel Layouts, Instrument location layout drawings, cable block diagram and cable schedule, control room layout drawings, control schematic diagram-control and logic diagram for any control system equipment.
- Conduct thorough site surveys to assess project requirements and constraints
- Design ELV systems based on project specifications and industry standards
- Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for ELV projects
- Execute commissioning processes to ensure optimal performance and functionality of ELV systems
Qualification & Educational Requirement:
- 3+ years of experience in relevant field and ELV projects
- degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering
- Demonstrates depth of knowledge within one specialty & experience with the T&C of ELV
- Must be well-versed in the T&C of (BMS/ACS/CCTV systems) including Honeywell Fire alarm Systems
- Good experience in systems integration and experience in any configuration and programming software for ELV systems (BMS/ACS/CCTV systems).
- Have knowledge on Electrical Components related to ELV Systems, be able to read and interpret technical drawings, plans and diagrams and be familiar with all relevant regulations, legislation and best practices.
- Decent background in the LV Works is preferred.
- Good experience in the factory acceptance and other T&C activities of these systems.
- Should have knowledge and understanding of ELV related codes and their application to the project.
